A community meeting has been scheduled for Tuesday, December 11, 2012, to give Velocity Capital the opportunity to meeting with the Park View community, present their plans for a 20-unit mixed-use building, and answer any questions or concerns residents have. Managing partner Brandon Bellamy gave his first presentation on the building at the November 14, 2012, ANC 1A meeting. He will be returning to ANC 1A in January seeking a letter of support for the project.

The meeting will be held at the Bruce-Monroe @ Park View school and start at 7 p.m. (Room to be determined).

I provided an introduction to the project on November 5th, in advance of the ANC meeting.

The project is anticipated to be 5 stories in height. The residential density is comprised of one and two-bedroom units ranging in size from 550-800 +/- sq. ft. by right with a 65′ height limit and 75% lot coverage. The proposed floor plate is 3,700 sq. ft. The project amenities include but are not limited to a rooftop deck and ground floor retail appropriate for a restaurant.
