This project has been designed to catalyze the revitalization of the legacy communities located along the 214 Central Avenue corridor, in central Prince George’s County, MD. It is an environmentally responsible, quasi-urban pedestrian-friendly, revitalization of the approximately 25-acre site, formerly known as Hampton Mall. This proposed mixed-use development project is located on prime property near the Capital Beltway and Central Avenue in Maryland. It is estimated that this project would create approximately 2,200 jobs. The project is being developed through a joint venture with ARC Properties, Inc., and Velocity Capital, LLC, and is considered a “Public-Private Partnership”. Prince George’s County serves as the public partner in the venture.
